The S65-147-7 antenna is designed to radiate a horizontally polarized signal, thereby improving the propagation characteristics. The fiberglass base housing further enhances the durability of the antenna. Dual VOR receiver operation is obtained when the antennas are used with the H21-1 diplexer. This antenna is manufactured using high-strength aluminum tubing and extrusion, which imparts robustness to the structure. This enables ease of installation if an access panel is not available or if the vertical stabilizer is so narrow at the point of installation that it makes it necessary to install the antenna with both cable leads forward or aft. The N48-3 antenna uses a phasing coupler. This allows it to obtain the maximum signal for standard VHF omnidirectional radio range localizer (VOR/LOC) and area navigation systems installed in light-weight aircraft, medium twins, and helicopters operating up to 250 mph. ![]() (Refer to Figure 16. Chelton has a wide range of traditional Very High-Frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR), Localiser (LOC) and Glide Slope (GS) antennas for airborne ILS navigation, as well as Microwave Landing System (MLS) antennas. (Refer to Figure 34.) What kind of antenna is this A VOR/glide slope antenna. 元Harris’ N9 Series Antenna provides a dual-band design for both localizer, VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range Localizer (VOC) and glide slope systems for installation within nose radomes on high-performance aircraft. The N48 series balanced loop antenna design assures an omnidirectional radiation pattern at the horizon. (Refer to Figure 30.)
